Simplified data integration without boundaries...
Traditional ETL (extract, transform and load) and data integration solutions work well enough for moderate amounts of structured data but today's volume and complexity of data has quickly exceeded their capabilities. Traditional solutions were never designed to handle today's data volumes, have little or no capabilities to handle unstructured data and require rigid analytic data structures such as a data mart, data warehouse or OLAP cube in order to perform well.
Datameer changes all of that with the ability to integrate, transform and analyze any volume of structured and unstructured data. The resulting ability to correlate data from unstructured sources such as weblogs of website visitor data together with transaction data from in store systems means for example that merchandizing managers and product marketers can best understand how customer behavior on a company's website translates to purchases in the store.
Datameer makes it easy to access and integrate data for analysis with:
- Wizard-based integration for fast and easy access to data sources
- Support for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
- 20+ pre-built connectors for common data types
- Plug-in API enables building of connectors for unique requirements
What Types of Data Are Supported?
You can use Datameer with any type of data such as log files, call details records, sales or transactional data, clickstream data, web site metrics and social networking data. You can combine multiple data sources and data types together to collect the raw data you need for analysis. Pre-built connectors are included for the following formats:
- Flat files such as Excel spreadsheets, comma-delimited text files (.CSV), log files from Apache and IIS web servers
- Unstructured data such as Twitter
- JSON and XML
- Relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, or MySQL
- Other types including HIVE (a data warehouse infrastructure built on Hadoop), HBase, Cassandra and Teradata
"Hadoop promises to become a ubiquitous framework for large scale business intelligence, but right now it is difficult for many developers to use. I see tremendous value in Datameer's approach - making Hadoop accessible to more users who need scalable analytic power for their organization's big data requirements."
