Datameer enables business users to easily visualize big data analytics via reports, charts, tables and dashboards...
Traditional BI tools are difficult to use and require extensive training and expertise for end users to perform self-service BI. Often, IT resources are required to create and configure reports, charts and dashboards for business users.
With Datameer, business users can easily create reports and dashboards with drag and drop widgets using the analytic workbooks created in Datameer. These interactive dashboard widgets allow users to access and view their data in a wide variety of graph, map, chart and table formats. Once dashboards have been created, users easily view them at any time by clicking the Dashboards tab at the top of the page and the data that is displayed is updated whenever the source workbook is recalculated.

Each dashboard widget is linked to data from a Datameer workbook making it very easy for end users to visualize the data behind each analytic workbook. Users simply run the workbook and then configure the dashboard widget for the workbook in terms of how they want the data to be displayed. Users first select the style of dashboard they wish to use from the extensive style library of bar, line and pie charts, tables, maps and other formats. Users then simply drag and drop the dashboard widget into the dashboard column layout desired. The user can choose from an extensive set of appearance choices as to color and graphics style and then can add text titles and other descriptors as desired. The handy Preview feature lets users see the data prior to selecting the style of dashboard graphic so that the most appropriate graphics can be selected to view the data.
Once complete, dashboards can be added, deleted or edited as desired, all with the ease of drag and drop. The end result is data visualization that is powerful and can be used by any business.
"We are using Hadoop to analyze large datasets. It's powerful, but requires a development team to use effectively. We are excited about Datameer because it hides the complexity of Hadoop behind a business user interface so our analysts can interactively examine large datasets on their own. This means better turnaround times and less development effort for ad-hoc analysis."
